(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Alhaji Mohammed Ahmad Asha, the Emir of Kaura-Namoda, in Zamfara State, has died of an ailment suspected to be COVID-19. The late traditional ruler died on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
According to Alhaji Mustafa Jafaru Kaura, Publicity Secretary for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19 in Zamfara State, the late monarch was on isolation at the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital Gusau before his demise, adding that late Emir’s blood sample had since been sent to Abuja for COVID-19 testing.
His remains will soon be laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
