Atiku Sacks 46 Employees On Workers’ Day

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – A media company, Gotel Communications, owned by Atiku Ababakar, former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2019 Presidential Election, has relieved some employees of their jobs.

Coming on May Day, May 1, 2020, news of the downsizing exercise was confirmed in a signed statement by  Mohammed El Yakubu, Gotel’s General Manager.

According to the former VC’s Media Aide, Paul Ibe, the downsizing was part of ongoing restructuring of the company.

Excerpts of the statement announcing the sack of the employees reads:  “The management has decided to discontinue your services with immediate effect.

“Consequently, please be informed that your entitlements including stipend in lieu of the notice will be computed and posted into your account with immediate effect.”
