(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Kano State has witnessed a staggering spike in the daily number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country as it recorded 92 new cases of the novel virus on Friday, May 1, 2020.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Kano, a fresh entrant into the league of states with COVID-19 cases is now second (311) to Lagos (1,006) in the number of confirmed cases of the disease in Nigeria. The state has recorded the highest figures for two consecutive days.
The increased cases of the disease in Kano might not be unconnected with the ramping up of testing in the state by the NCDC.
