Tenure Of NDDC Interim Management Committee Extended By President Buhari

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The tenure of the Professor Keme Pondei-led Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has been extended by President Muhammadu Buhari, from May 1 to December 31, 2020. This was disclosed by Femi Adesina, the president’s aide.

According to Adesina, the extension covers the period of the forensic audit of the NDDC’s accounts. The NDDC was also mandated by the president to complement the efforts of the federal and state governments in the war on COVID-19 by providing intervention support to the tune of six billion, two hundred and fifty million naira ( N6, 250, 000, 000.00) only, to help prevent the spread of the virus in the Niger Delta states.
