#COVID-19 Can’t Be Prevented By Drinking Palm Oil – NCDC

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) -The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has debunked widespread claims that drinking palm oil prevents COVID-19 infection. NCDC made the refutation on its verified twitter handle, warning Nigerians not to believe such unsubstantiated claims.

According to the commission, COVID-19 does not have a cure yet, or a specific form of treatment, saying that clinical trials were currently ongoing across the world to produce a vaccine.

The agency advised Nigerians to continue adhering to World Health Organization (WHO) prescribed guidelines on the prevention of the disease such as regular washing of hands, social distancing, use of sanitizers and wearing of face masks.
