(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The United Nations has officially confirmed Biafra as the 46th member of the body’s Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation, UNPO, according to Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, arrowhead of Biafra Independence Movement, BIM; and Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, during a media parley in Owerri, the Imo State capital, Thursday, April 30, 2020.
According to Uwazuruike, he received an official letter on April 22, 2020, signed by the UNPO’s General Secretary, Ralph Bunche, via Ikenna Obibi Egeonu, his Foreign Representative, confirming Biafra’s admission into the body.
The Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) is an international, nonviolent and democratic membership organisation. Its Members are indigenous peoples, minorities, unrecognised States and occupied territories that have joined together to defend their political, social and cultural rights, to preserve their environments and to promote their right to self-determination.
