NCDC Director General Commends Nigeria’s Frontline Health Workers For Their Resilience, Commitment.

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria’s frontline health workers, especially those infected with #COVID-19, have been hailed by the Director-General of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, for their resilience despite the apparent challenges they were encountering in the ongoing efforts against the virus, urging them to remain steadfast.

The DG’s encomiums for the country’s medical heroes were contained in his remarks at the routine briefing of the Presidential Task Force of #COVID-19 on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in Abuja. The DG disclosed how he spoke with some of the medical foot soldiers in the frontlines of the country’s COVID-19 efforts via telephone, and how confident they sounded that the country was on the right track to winning the war against the ailment.

Dr. Ihekweazu acknowledged the significance of the contributions of all the individuals involved in the war efforts and encouraged them to keep up the good work.
