(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Paris Saint-Germain are at loggerheads with their players, who are refusing to take a pay cut.
Talks have been ongoing between the players and the Ligue 1 club over pay cuts in light of Coronavirus.
But it has been reported in France that PSG’s players are reluctant to listen to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo.
Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are the French champions’ highest-paid players, earning £600,000 and £375,000 per week respectively.
Al-Khelaifi revealed last week in an interview that the players would have to do what they could to help the club reduce costs.
He said: ‘I expect them to make an effort for their club.’
Thiago Silva and Marquinhos, captain and vice-captain, are leading talks with the club on behalf of the players.
