I’m Afraid, We’re In Serious Problem – Ganduje

By Lilian Ogbonna, For Agenda Watchdog, April 26, 2020

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor of Kano State, has expressed deep fears over the burgeoning cases of #COVID-19 in his state.  The governor voiced his fears while speaking on BBC Hausa Service on Monday, April 27, 2020.

Of more worry for the governor is the shutdown of the laboratory in the state, a development that has the likelihood of jeopardizing the state’s ability to check the further acceleration of the spread of the virus in the state.

Governor Ganduje accused the Presidential Task Force on #COVID-19 of being lackadaisical in its response to the unfolding horror in Kano, saying despite being aware of the state’s quandary, the task force was not doing enough to help ameliorate the sordid situation in the state.

Nigeria has recorded 1, 273 confirmed cases of #COVID-19 in 32, in the country’s 36 states, with Kano, a new entrant, accounting for 77 of the total number of cases in the country, just two places behind Lagos with 731 and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 141 cases.
