Imo Records Index Case As Nigeria Reports 87 New Cases Of COVID-19, Bringing Total Infections To 1,182

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday, April 25, 2020 announced the confirmation of 87 fresh cases of #COVID-19 in the country, taking the total number of infections in the country to 1,182.

Out of he new figures, Lagos had 33, Borno-18, Osun-12, Katsina 9, Kano-4, Ekiti-4, Edo-3, Bauchi-3, and Imo-1. Imo is recovering its index case. The country has recorded 222 recoveries, while 35 fatalities have been suffered.

Since the first reported case of #COVID-19 in China, the disease has spread to over 200 countries globally, infecting 2, 864, 070 persons, killing over 200, 000, with 772,900 recovered cases.
