#COVID-19 Palliatives: Ondo Plans Distribution Of Maize Seeds

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – As part of its efforts to provide palliatives to help prevent hunger in the post #coronavirus years, the Ondo State Government is planning to distribute maize seeds to farming households, Maize Farmers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Agriculture related Ministries, Ondo State Agricultural Commodity Association (OSACA), Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and prospective farmers in the state.

News of the proposed plan was contained in a signed statement from the state Ministry of Agriculture, delivered by its Information Officer, Mr Bolu Ajijo, on Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Akure, the state capital.

According to the statement, the Maize Seed, which is an improved variety DMR-LSR-Y, is a grant from the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, IAR&T, Moore Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo State.
