(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Consequent to breaking news stories on the social media of the resignation of his Chief of Staff, Mr. Taiwo Akerele, the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, says he is yet to receive an official communication from Mr. Akerele of his resignation from his administration, despite the story having gone full throttle online.

In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, the Governor was unaware of his Chief of Staff’s resignation as no official letter had been received to that effect.

Mr. Osagie, however, stated that the governor would accept the resignation letter whenever it got to him. He wished Mr. Akerele the best in his future endeavours.
