Police Sergeant Kills Female Colleague In Rivers

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – It was a tragic scene on Thurday, April 23, 2020, in Rivers State, as Sergeant Bitrus Ossaih, attached to the Operations Department of the Rivers State Police Command, and working with the Rivers State Task Force on Decongestion, shot dead a female colleague, Lovender Elekwachi.

The command announced the arrest of the Sergeant who is already undergoing ‘orderly room trial’, while two other members of the Task Force have been brought in for questioning. Joseph G. Mukan, the Commissioner of Police, is taking special interest in the matter as he has ordered thorough investigation to ascertain the remote and immediate causes of the incident. He promised that justice would be served.
