Governor El-Rufai Tests Negative For COVID-19

By Franca Joseph, For Agenda Watchdog, April 22, 2020

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has tested negative for the dreaded COVID-19. The governor had tested positive on March 28, 2020, and has since been in isolation, where he has been undergoing treatment for the virus, prelude to testing negative following two confirmatory tests. El-Rufai gleefully took to his verified tweeter handle to announce the good news.

“I am delighted to report today that after nearly four weeks of observing a strict medical regime, I have now received the all-clear after two consecutive test results”.

The news of Governor El-Rufai’s recovery will come as a huge relief for his close associates who were becoming apprehensive about his continued stay in isolation after almost four weeks of testing positive for the virus.

El-Rufai joins the likes of the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, as political office holders who recovered from COVID-19, having initially tested positive, the only exception so far being Abba Kyari, President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, who recently lost his life to the virus.
