Profiling Lagos State’s Free Academy For Youths In Creative Industry

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria’s Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Sadiya Farouq, has revealed plans by the Federal Government to increase the number of Nigerians captured in the National Social Register (NSR) for a more inclusive distribution of welfare packages to Nigerians through the adopting of the use of electronic channels such as the Bank Verification Number (BVN) and mobile phone networks.
Sadiya disclosed this during the question and answer session at the routine briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja, on Tuesday, April 22, 2020. She said that the move would make the cash distribution “faster, transparent and give room for more accountability”.
