We Have Tested 8,003 Samples – NCDC

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Approximately 8, 003 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in a situation report released on dated April 19, 2020.

Out of this abovementioned figure, 9,233 were identified as ‘People of Interest’ 98 per cent of which have already been contacted.

While 22 states, including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have reported cases of COVID-19, with the death rate put at about 3 percent, more men (approximately 70%) have been infected than women (30 %)
