By Franca Joseph, For Agenda Watchdog, April 20, 2020.

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Accountability watchdog, the Social Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), has announced on its twitter handle that it was in the process of compiling cases of human rights abuses and violations in Nigeria associated with the COVID-19 lockdown with a view to helping victims of such infringements with “appropriate legal action nationally/internationally” meant to redress such infractions. The group promised to bear the cost of “ALL cases”.

Continuing the tweet, SERAP requested for verifiable cases of human rights violations and abuses with detailed facts, location, names and consent of victims to be sent to: nocorruption@serap-nigeria.org, for prompt action to be expedited on them.

SERAP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, legal & advocacy org. devoted to promoting transparency, accountability & respect for socio-economic rights in Nigeria
