By Franca Joseph, For Agenda Watchdog, April 19, 2020

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Following its earlier announcement that Nigeria’s current total number of COVID-19 cases was 542, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), having admitted it made an error in its initial report, has issued a counter statement that the total number of infected cases in the country was actually 541, following 48, and not 49 fresh confirmed cases of the virus as earlier reported by the agency via its verified twitter handle on Saturday, April 18, 2020. While 166 have been discharged, having twice tested negative, 19 fatalities have been recorded.
