Nigeria Now Has 493 Cases Of COVID-19 Infections, As 51 New Cases Are Confirmed

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria’s Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the confirmation of 51 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the country, bring the total number of cases in the country to 493. The NCDC made the disclosure on its verified twitter handle on Friday, April 17, 2020.

The breakdown of the new cases according to the NCDC are: Lagos- 32, Kano-6, Kwara -5, Abuja and Oyo – 2 each, while Ogun and Ekit had 1 eachi. While 159 patients have been discharged, having recovered from the virus, 17 fatalities have been recorded by the country so far.
