Nigeria Confirms 34 New COVID-19 Infections As The Number Of Cases Surpass 400

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria’s Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed Thirty-four new cases of COVID-19 in the country, taking the total number of infections in the country to 407. The agency twitted the latest figure on its verified twitter handle, Wednesday, April 16, 2020.

Out of the 34 new cases, Lagos has 18, Kano 12, Katsina 2, while Delta and Niger recorded one each. While 128 patients have, 12 deaths have been recorded.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria are distributed across the affected states as follows: Lagos- 232, FCT- 58, Osun- 20, Kano- 16, Edo- 15, Oyo- 11, Ogun- 9, Katsina- 7, Bauchi- 6, Kaduna- 6, Akwa Ibom- 6, Kwara- 4, Delta- 4, Ondo- 3, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Niger- 2, Benue- 1 and Anambra- 1.
