Lockdown: Buhari Adds 1 million Households To National Social Register

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – In efforts to cushion the effects of the lockdown of some parts of the country, due to ongoing efforts to check the further spread of COVID-19 in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that in addition to the 2.6 million households earlier designated to benefit from federal government palliatives, another 1 million households would be added to the National Social Register (NSR). The president disclosed this while addressing the nation on Monday, April 13, 2020. He also extended the ongoing lockdown which was supposed to end by Midnight on Monday by another two weeks.
