By Olivia Isibor, For Agenda Watchdog, April 12, 2020

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his earlier advice to Nigerians, particularly those residing in the parts of the country affected by his lock-down order to continue complying with the stay-at-home order, observing personal hygiene and social distancing rules until the spread of the coronavirus is contained. Mallam Garba Shehu. Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement. According to the statement, President Buhari thanked Nigerians for their high level of understanding, despite the challenges they were being forced to face due to the restrictions imposed by the authorities to help check the further spread of the disease. He, however, reminded Nigerians that the pandemic was a global affair, hence the need for Nigerians to concentrate on fighting for their survival as help would not come from other countries who were also busy battling the same deadly scourge.
