COVID-19: Lagos State Discharges 7 More Patients

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the discharge of seven more patients ( 4 males and three females), who were being treated for COVID-19, from the infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, having recovered fully from the virus. Altogether, 46 COVID-19 patients have been treated and discharged from the COVID-19 isolation facility in Yaba. As at the time of going to press, Lagos State had 158 confirmed cases of coronavirus: 107 active cases, 46 recoveries, two evacuated cases and three deaths. In another development, the Lagos State Government has announced plans to commence a house-to-house search to detect possible cases of COVID-19 in the state, as part of measures to stem the further spread of the deadly virus which has infected over a million people across the globe,killing over a hundred thousand since rearing its monstrous head in China’s Wuhan District. This was announced by Mr. Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health.
