Amnesty: Buhari Pardons Ambrose Ali, Anthony Enahoro And 2,598 Others

Acceding to calls by the United Nations Organization (UNO) on member countries to reduce the number of inmates in their gulags, with regards to the social distancing guidelines on COVID-19, Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has magnanimously granted Presidential clemency to 2,600 inmates across the country.

Some notable beneficiaries of the pardon include prominent Nigerians who were ex-convicts such as, Retired Lt. Col Moses Effiong, Major E. J Olanrewaju, Mr Ajayi Olusola Babalola, Late Professor Ambrose Ali and Late Chief Anthony Enahoro, Who were both granted posthumous amnesties.
