Its was good news for the people of Oyo State as their governor, Seyi Makinde, who tested positive six days ago for the novel coronavirus, announced that he had tested negative.
Since testing positive on March 30th, 2020, governor Makunde has been on self-isolation.
Twitting on his handle, Makinde revealed the cheerful news that he had tested negative after receiving his second test result for COVID-19
The governor appreciated Nigerians for their concern and fervent prayers since he embarked on self-isolation, reserving special appreciation for professor Temitope who acted in his stead as head of Oyo State Task force on COVID-19.
The twit read:
“I am deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period. I am so thankful. This evening, I received my second negative test result for COVID-19. I especially thank Prof Temitope Alonge, who acted in my stead as Head of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force”.
