Profiling Lagos State’s Free Academy For Youths In Creative Industry
Nigeria’s Information Minister, Lai Mohammed has disclosed that 43 cabinet ministers would be donating 50 percent of their March salaries as part of their contributions to ongoing efforts against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Information Minister, the donation was coordinated by Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Minister of State for Transportation.
Senator Saraki was quoted as saying that ”This global virus outbreak will require nations, continents and smaller communities to pull together to contribute their resources and support one another. This will facilitate an early resolution of the problem”.
President Muhammadu Buhari was also commended by the minsters for his exemplary leadership role in leading the onslaught against the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Fresh cases of the novel coronavirus are accelerating in Nigeria as recent reports suggest. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which is coordinating field efforts to contain the spread of the virus, provides regular updates on the spread of the deadly pandemic in the country.
